Counselling and psychotherapy in the Dundrum area and online
I’m a qualified and insured psychotherapist working with individuals over the age of 18, and am accredited with the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). I completed my training in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy in the Tivoli Institute, having previously obtained an M.Phil in Psychoanalytic Studies from Trinity College Dublin.
I was a client long before I was a therapist, and I know that reaching out can be difficult. My first priority is to hear your individual experience, whatever topic you’ve brought to the room, and to meet you with curiosity, authenticity and empathy. I appreciate the immense trust placed in me as a therapist when a client shares their story, and I will treat this with the respect it deserves throughout our time working together.
I’m more than happy to work with any challenges you bring to therapy, but some of my particular areas of interest include relational difficulties, gender, sexual and relational diversity (GSRD) and LGBTQIA+ issues, neurodivergence, and climate or political anxiety. I have previously completed the DAWN: Practitioner Course for Helping Professionals Working with Autistic Adults. My approach is queeraffirming and neuroaffirming. I have experience working with clients at different stages of their journey of self-discovery, whether that relates to gender, sexuality or neurodivergence, or something else entirely.
I will meet you where you are, whether you're asking questions you don't yet know the answers to, figuring out how to make your life fit you better, or simply want to know the therapist you choose is a safe person to fully share your experience with.
Whether you want to address short-term challenges with a solution-oriented approach, or are hoping to disentangle longer-term difficulties by coming to a deeper understanding of yourself, your experiences and your relationships, I aim to provide a space that is safe, supportive and trauma-informed.

In short, I am happy to work with any challenges you want to bring to therapy. I have experience working with adults of different ages, having had clients from 18+ to those in their seventies.
Common issues to explore in therapy include anxiety, depression, workplace stress, grief and bereavement, relationship difficulties, suicidal ideation or self-harm, trauma in childhood or more recently, low self-esteem, disordered eating, or a desire for personal development.
Some of my particular areas of interest include relational difficulties, gender, sexual and relational diversity (GSRD) and LGBTQIA+ issues, neurodivergence, and climate or political anxiety. I am comfortable working with clients of all genders, sexualities or relationship structures.
If you feel something in your life needs to change but you don’t know what it is, it’s ok to use therapy to explore that question, even if you’re not quite sure where to begin.
Though my in-person sessions are in Dundrum, I am also happy to do online work with anyone elsewhere in Ireland or in the U.K.

It’s important to me that my clients feel safe to bring their full selves to the therapy room. I’m conscious of an increasing amount of discussion online about what therapy for queer and neurodivergent people can or should look like, so I want to take time to be clear about what I mean when I say my approach is queeraffirming and neuroaffirming.
I have a lot of experience working with people who are established in their identities, as well as people who are questioning or learning about their identity for the first time. I will always let you take the lead – I will not pathologise you and I will believe your experiences. I deeply believe that exploring your identity and place in the world, and questioning previously held ideas, is enriching rather than dangerous. I’ll never try to push you in a direction that feels wrong for you.
I know it’s important to hold space in therapy for your identity and its place within our current culture, while simultaneously not reducing you to one aspect of yourself. Anything like this that you share with me can either be something we explore in depth or simple background information depending on what you need. My role is to help you know yourself better and build your life in a way that reflects this understanding.

My in-person sessions take place in Dundrum Counselling & Therapy Centre, 2 Arbourfield Terrace, Dundrum Road, Windy Arbour, Dublin 14.
It's about a five minute walk from the Windy Arbour Luas stop. It is also served by several Dublin Bus routes. Bus routes within a fifteen minute walk of the Centre include 11, 44, 44D, 142, and S4.
The city centre and Sandyford Industrial Estate are a short Luas ride away.

Arbourfield Terrace is just off the main Dundrum Road. There's limited parking outside, but I recommend leaving some extra time to find a space, especially during busy hours.
When you arrive, I'll buzz you in. There is a stairway up to the waiting room where I will meet you.

Sessions are also available online via Microsoft Teams and I am insured to see clients across Ireland and the U.K.
You can see what DCTC looks like in these photos. I work in different therapy rooms depending on the day, but if you’re more comfortable knowing what the space looks like in advance, please feel free to ask me which room we’ll be in when scheduling.
My usual fee per session is €70. I encourage clients to claim back money for therapy sessions via health insurance wherever possible, and I’m able to provide signed receipts on headed paper.
Please check with your insurer what cover exists as unfortunately I can’t advise on individual policies. I understand that the usual fee isn’t possible for everyone. To try and make therapy a little more accessible, I operate on a sliding scale for anyone who needs it. This means that I can see a limited number of clients at a reduced cost while keeping a financial balance across my work. If this is something you'd like to talk about more, please let me know.
